How do I fix blurry or missing textures?
Hotfixes 4–5 and Update 6 repaired wrong-GPU selection, a VRAM leak, texture settings and 4–6 GB streaming cases.
Quick answer
Install Update 6 or later first. NerveLabs fixed a VRAM leak in Hotfix 5, made texture settings apply correctly in Update 6 and attempted a texture-streaming fix for 4 GB and 6 GB GPUs. Laptop users should also confirm the game is no longer selecting the integrated GPU, a bug addressed in Hotfix 4.

Steps
- Update the game to Update 6 or later so the published texture and VRAM repairs are present.
- On a laptop, check that the dedicated GPU is the adapter running the game rather than the integrated GPU.
- Apply the desired texture setting again; Update 6 fixed a case where that setting was not applied correctly.
- If a 4 GB or 6 GB GPU still streams textures incorrectly, report the hardware and current build because the developer described that change as an attempted fix.
Requirements / limits
- Hotfix 4 covers incorrect integrated-GPU selection and some GPU texture issues.
- Hotfix 5 covers the VRAM leak that caused ugly textures.
- Update 6 covers texture-setting application and 4 GB / 6 GB streaming, but NerveLabs calls the latter an attempt rather than a guaranteed fix.
Common mistakes
- Using a generic engine.ini recipe before installing the game's own fixes.
- Treating Update 6's attempted streaming fix as a guarantee on every GPU.
- Ignoring the adapter selection on dual-GPU laptops.
